Cyprus is an aeternitas of the history of european integration that will have influence on the future of Europe. The name given by the inhabitants is KIPRIAKE DEMOKRATIA applying the official national languages of Greek family) spoken by the citizens today living in the presidential Republic of Cyprus, together with the large minorities of Turks and other European peoples speaking Turkish or English.

Cyprus is situated in southern Europe below the Anatolic Peninsula, is an island of the eastern Mediterranen Sea not far from the Syria coasts, divived in 2 states: the democratic Republic of South, limited at North by the Northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus annexed to Turkey. Its territory is pevalent montainous along the high linear coasts with many bays, where the climate is typically mediterranean as vegetations influenced by the hot equatorial weather from South, favorable for cultivations of olive tree, grape, cereals, tobacco, fruits and agrums among what emerge the cedar plant symbol of Cyprus.

The history of Cyprus began with the settlements of Greeks people Pelasgians and Minoans (who gave origin to the european Alphabets) during the most ancient age of the history of european integration (as you can read in this article), to what added the Israelites tribes, in particular during the various diaspora when the Easter empire conquered their 'Promised Land' (learn by reading of my article on the divine biblical reigns): there are news on an ancient Kingdom of Cyprus ruled by european genealogies descending from Aphrodite Goddess, who made Cyprus famous for giving birth to Her and to the european culture (read about it), or by king Minosses son of Zeus. Once conquered by Egyptians, Hittites, Assyrians and Persians (from II millennium to IV century B.C.), Cyprus had been annexed to the Macedonian Kingdom of Argeadi then included into the Diadochi Kingdom of Aegypt (IV - I centuries B.C.) until the conquest of Romans in 58 B.C.. Within the reform of Augustus (see Roman Empire), Cyprus was elevated to Cyprus province that with the reform of Constantine I (see Christian Empire) became the Cyprus diocesi. That political situation was confirmed during the Byzantine Empire until 1192 A.D. when the island was occupied by Christian Crusaders and tranformed in the Regnum Cyprus and its history continued along with the history of that christian civitas.

Cyprus got independent in 1960 A.D. as Republic of Cyprus and poned its capital in the ancient greek city of Nicosia, until the occupation of Turks that divide the island since 1983 A.D.. Cyprus state is a member of European Union since 2002 A.D. and recently adopted the currency Euro.
